CIPFA suspends Tremaine

An ex-council chief executive and section 151 officer has been suspended by his professional body.

An ex-council chief executive and section 151 officer has been suspended by his professional body after its disciplinary committee heard about a catalogue of wrongdoing.

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) imposed a 12-month suspension order on Andrew Tremaine, who was chief finance officer at the now-abolished Restormel BC from 2001 to February 2008 before being made chief executive.
