Up to a quarter of 16 to 24 years-olds are not in employment, education or training (Neet) across many English towns and cities, a comprehensive study of 'Neets' has revealed.

The report, published jointly by the Work Foundation and the Private Equity Foundation on 4 November, uncovered ten regional 'blackspots' – where at least one in five young people are Neets.
