Cities need freedom to tailor pro-growth policies, report claims

According to a report issued today by Centre for Cities, the Government should prioritise investment in cities already primed for growth.

Government should prioritise investment in cities already primed for growth and capable of creating jobs, according to a report issued today by the think tank Centre for Cities.

Supported by the Local Government Association (LGA) and contractor IBM the Cities Outlook 2012 suggests cities able to overcome the challenges of rising unemployment, public sector shrinkage and wage restraint include Aberdeen, Cambridge and Milton Keynes.
