City deal with LGSS will see transfer of 100 staff

Norwich City Council has begun final talks with LGSS, which could see it become the first district to outsource its IT and finance functions.

Norwich City Council has begun final talks with LGSS, which could see it become the first district to outsource its IT and finance functions to the shared services firm owned by Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire county councils.

Subject to the approval of the two counties, around 100 city council workers – including revenues and benefits staff – would transfer to the joint-partnership.
