City of York Council's deputy chief executive to retire

City of York Council have announced that its deputy chief executive and director of city strategy is to retire in the early summer.

City of York Council's deputy chief executive and director of city strategy, Bill Woolley, has announced his intention to retire in the early summer.

Mr Woolley has worked for the council for 16 years, since its inception as a unitary authority in 1996. His contribution and achievements in and for York are evident in the very landscape and fabric of the city.
