Communities secretary Greg Clark has vowed local government will have ‘a place at the table' on Brexit negotiations to ensure new powers are devolved.

Speaking at the Local Government Association (LGA) conference in Bournemouth, Mr Clark said a team representing ‘all parts of local government, all parties and all parts of the country' would be assembled to ensure Whitehall was not the ‘default destination' of repatriated powers.
