After initial fears Brexit would push devolution to the back of a very long queue of priorities, it was refreshing to hear communities secretary Greg Clark pledge his support for further decentralisation to London.

Of course, the capital has long been campaigning for such a thing, but it was still a shock to hear how London Councils was planning to ensure the deal was honoured.
