MPs and civil servants have clashed over government plans to close its regional business, innovation and skills office in Sheffield.

The chairs of two influential parliamentary committees wrote to permanent secretary at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Martin Donnelly, demanding the Government released more information about the planned closure.
