Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has asked ministers to identify 40 major projects to be fast-tracked as a way of boosting the economy.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has called for more publicly-funded infrastructure projects to be pushed through by Whitehall to offset the deteriorating economy.
