Jonathan Stephenson tells Dan Peters about the demands and benefits of working between two councils, and how he has managed to foster a competitive edge through embracing ‘challenge’.

It was on Christmas Eve last year the joint chief executive of Brentwood BC and Rochford DC had the idea.

Jonathan Stephenson had been in charge of the two councils for a few months but wanted to develop stronger relationships between both teams.
