Diary's hopes were unduly raised last week when it was announced Swansea City Council had bought a nightclub.

The concept of a local government hotspot, complete with ‘double devolution' cocktails and compulsory ‘Dad dancing' for all has considerable merit, particularly in Diary's beer-addled imagination.
