Tributes have poured in from across local government for former Local Government Association chairman, Sir Simon Milton, who passed away this week, after a short illness.

Sir Simon, who was just 49, was also leader of Westminster City Council for eight years. Most recently, he was deputy mayor and chief of staff under London mayor, Boris Johnson.
