The College of Social Work has urged the Government to halt its current plans to delegate powers in children’s services.

The College of Social Work has urged the Government to halt its current plans to delegate powers in children's services, which critics fear could lead to more outsourcing.

In its response to the Department for Education's current consultation, the college calls for an immediate pause to the consultation in order to allow ‘due and full consideration of the very serious implications of these proposed regulatory changes'.
