Greenwich RLBC has appointed internal candidate John Comber as the borough's next chief executive.

Mr Comber's position was confirmed at a meeting of full council last week following a member-led external recruitment process.

He replaces Mary Ney, who retired last month having held the top role at Greenwich for fourteen years and helped the borough host the London 2012 Olympic Games.
