So what's the score on CPA?

Watching the ~Audit Commission~ release the latest comprehensive performance assessment framework for 2006 is a bit like watching Nero fiddling while Rome burned. Last year's changes – the Harder Test 2005 – have already been branded ‘unnecessary tinkering' by panellists on our CPA Debate lunch (see Page 14 of The MJ this week). They said the assessment system was ‘well past its sell by date' and ‘even the ~Audit Commission~ recognises it has come to the end of its natural life'.
