Commission calls for devolution within Birmingham's children's services

Responsibility for Birmingham's beleagured children's services should be devolved to 10 district area levels to promote better working practices and reduce duplication, experts have advised.

Responsibility for  Birmingham's beleagured children's services should be devolved to 10 district area levels to promote better working practices and reduce duplication, experts have advised.

The recommendation is included in a report issued today by the independent Birmingham Commission for Children into what children and young people think about living in the city.
