A leading group of MPs has slammed the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for failing to act on the concerns of residents being abused by care home staff.

A leading group of MPs has slammed the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for failing to act on the concerns of residents being abused by care home staff.

The public accounts committee (PAC) said the watchdog had covered up some of its failures, and had been struggling with its role for some time.
