A new commission aiming to set out a ten-year economic growth strategy for the north of England has launched.

A new commission aiming to set out a ten-year economic growth strategy for the north of England has launched, amid analysis indicating the regional divide is set to worsen.

Chaired by Geoff Muirhead, former chief executive for Manchester Airports Group, the Northern Economics Futures Commission has assembled key industry figures to articulate a strong regional vision and context for strategic investment, which includes better planning among local enterprise partnerships (LEPs).
