Commission recommends historic tax powers for Wales

A report on the future of devolution has suggested the Welsh Government should be given greater control of taxes.

The Welsh Government should be given greater control of taxes, including new powers to set income tax levels by 2020, a report on the future of devolution has suggested.

Among the report's 33 recommendations, a key one is that the Welsh Government and the Treasury agree changes to the funding system that would see both governments share income tax yields.
