The only council in the UK to have all its powers withdrawn and its executive functions run by commissioners is likely to remain under government control until new councillors and managers are in post later this year.
The Isle of Anglesey CC has been run by five commissioners appointed by the Welsh Government since last March after being riddled with what Welsh local government minister Carl Sargeant described as 'chronic political infighting and misbehaviour' and an inability to 'serve local people effectively and responsibly.'
