The chair of the Health and Social Care Committee, Layla Moran, has said she is ‘shocked' at ongoing shortfalls at the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

In October, a Government-commissioned review by Dr Penny Dash found concerns about the watchdog's approach to regulating local authority social care and integrated care systems.
