Local government minister Brandon Lewis has dismissed as 'absolute hogwash' criticisms that the community budgets programme lacks ambition and is under-resourced.

Local government minister Brandon Lewis has dismissed as 'absolute hogwash' criticisms that the community budgets programme lacks ambition and is under-resourced.

Speaking to The MJ ahead of next week's Spending Review, Mr Lewis said he rejected claims pooled budget arrangements lack appropriate support, and urged councils to 'dive in' and take a 'collaborative plunge' in embracing the agenda.
