Finance chiefs have been lobbying the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) over the complexity of council accounts.

Finance chiefs have been lobbying the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) over the complexity of council accounts.

Members of the Society of County Treasurers (SCT) believe that the regulations surrounding the complexity and length of the statement of accounts are an ‘obstacle to public scrutiny'.
