Desperate Isle of Wight Council fears it will not be able to agree a lawful 2017/18 budget despite last-minute changes to the finance settlement.

Council leader Cllr Jonathan Bacon said he could not ‘see any way' his authority could come up with a balanced budget next year based on the Government's current planned funding allocations.
