No contract for Highland Council

The Scottish Government has refused to let Highland Council buy out a series of school construction and maintenance contracts.

The Scottish Government has refused to let Highland Council buy out a series of school construction and maintenance contracts.

Highland's director of finance, Derek Yule, said the local authority currently pays out around £29m a year through two public private partnership (PPP) deals.
