Kensington and Chelsea RLBC has distanced itself from efforts by Grenfell Tower contractors to receive immunity from prosecution for their evidence to the disaster's inquiry.

The council's lawyer, James Maxwell-Scott QC, told the inquiry that the authority ‘did not and does not support the application'.
