Reports in New Zealand newspapers suggest Cornwall CC chief executive Kevin Lavery is to leave his post to take the same role at Wellington City Council.

Mr Lavery, who is yet to directly comment on the reports, was claimed to have been discussed at a council meeting in Wellington on Wednesday night, as one of four candidates potentially being offered a $420,000 pay packet for the role – which was advertised in August.
