Glasgow City Council has found itself embroiled in a legal battle with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA).

Glasgow City Council has found itself embroiled in a legal battle with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) in a dispute over the costs of quitting the local government umbrella body.

The stand-off follows COSLA's insistence that Glasgow and seven other authorities that have handed in their notice to quit the body should meet legal obligations totalling some £3.5m in liabilities.
