Cost cuts see manangment posts axed at Kennet

Four senior management posts are now to be axed as part of a cost saving  review at Kennet DC.
The plan was agreed by members of the human resources committee, who have backed plans to merge housing and the environmental health and protection service with the lose of three posts.
The fourth post will be cut from legal and democratic services and committee.
Cllr Gretchen Rawlins, said: ‘The decision to make four senior staff redundant has not been taken lightly – but  we have had to look at how to responsibly reduce management overheads.
