Coughlin takes on LGA improvement role

Reading council chief executive, Michael Coughlin, has been named as one of the new directors at the Local Government Association.

Reading council chief executive, Michael Coughlin, has been named as one of the new directors at the Local Government Association, replacing former IDeA chief Rob Whiteman, The MJ has learned.

The association kicked off the search for an executive director for self improvement last month as part of the final pieces in the jigsaw to restructure the former Local Government Group into a single organisation.
