Council admin costs to come under spotlight in Wales

Public services minister Leighton Andrews has commissioned an independent review of administrative costs across all local authorities in Wales.

Public services minister Leighton Andrews has commissioned an independent review of administrative costs across all local authorities in Wales.

Mr Andrews said: ‘I have made it clear I expect all local authorities in Wales to focus the limited resources available to them on delivering frontline services to citizens, and to reduce spending on administration and backroom services.
