Thurrock Council has declared itself to be ‘unashamedly’ in favour of generating money from local authority services, as its shared legal service looks to trade with the private sector.

Thurrock Council has declared itself to be ‘unashamedly' in favour of generating money from local authority services, as its shared legal service looks to trade with the private sector.

According to a report that went before the council's cabinet last week, the local authority's shared legal service with Barking & Dagenham LBC, BDT Legal, is currently drawing plans to become a ‘full commercial arm'.
