Liverpool City Council is looking at transferring some of its largest parks to independent trusts as it tries to balance the books.

The local authority's cabinet member for neighbourhoods, Cllr Steve Munby, told The MJ costs have already been ‘cut to the bone' and the council was now looking at ‘generating new sources of income'.
