Blackburn with Darwen Council has announced it wants to renegotiate its partnership with outsourcing giant Capita.

The 15-year contract is due to expire in June 2016 and is currently worth at least £6.4m a year to the contractor, but the council's executive board voted on 15 January to start negotiations about its future.
