Council to borrow extra cash after project cost hike

Stockton-on-Tees BC councillors last night approved an extra £6.5m borrowing after costs for the restoration of a live entertainment venue increased.

Stockton-on-Tees BC councillors last night approved an extra £6.5m borrowing after costs for the restoration of a live entertainment venue increased.

The extra cash needed would bring the cost of the restoration of the Globe to £26.8m and push back the opening of the venue from next spring to later that year.
