Council chief executives are getting less positive about the future and are enjoying their jobs less, according to a survey by recruitment and management specialists, Penna.

Council chief executives are getting less positive about the future and are enjoying their jobs less, according to a survey by recruitment and management specialists, Penna.

The survey found 43% of council chiefs are less positive about the financial state of local government than they were a year ago while the same number, 43%, are enjoying their jobs less – although a third of those who responded are enjoying their job more.
