Council buys airport stake

Liverpool City Council has bought a stake in John Lennon Airport as it starts selling off empty shops for a £1.

Liverpool City Council has bought a stake in John Lennon Airport as it starts selling off empty shops for a £1.

The local authority revealed last week it had signed a deal to buy shares in the airport from its current holder, Peel Holdings.
