Council calls in third sector experts to investigate local youth unemployment

Birmingham City Council has commissioned ACEVO to study how local organisations are tackling youth unemployment in the city.

Birmingham City Council has commissioned the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO) to study how local organisations are tackling youth unemployment in the city.

The third sector group will look at how big the issue is in Birmingham, and what are the key problems in dealing with it. Birmingham has one of the highest rates of youth unemployment in the country, with 2,500 young people on job-seeker's allowance for more than a year
