Darra Singh has called upon council chief executives to assist with the completion of a survey into the August riots before the response deadline expires on 28 October.

In his role as chair of the independent Riots Communities and Victims Panel, the former Jobcentre Plus and Ealing chief executive has written to riot-affected councils asking them to co-ordinate with partners such as the police in gathering information about the rioters, the duration and cost of the riots and the response of public services.
