Councils have raised concerns with government that local authorities will have to demonstrate their efforts to spend a key business grant before getting more cash.

Councils have raised concerns with government that local authorities will have to demonstrate their efforts to spend a key business grant before getting more cash.

Local authorities have been told they have until the end of June to prove they have spent or ‘made a validated attempt to spend' 100% of the additional restrictions grant (ARG) they have been allocated or they will not qualify for the latest £425m announced by the Government.
