A council judged to have harassed and discriminated against one of its directors has confirmed it is appealing a £4.6m award for damages by an employment tribunal.

A council judged to have harassed and discriminated against one of its directors has confirmed it is appealing a £4.6m award for damages by an employment tribunal.

Sacked director of public service reform, Rachael Wright-Turner, who suffered from complex post-traumatic stress disorder after working on the Grenfell Tower response, won an unfair dismissal employment tribunal claim against Hammersmith & Fulham LBC and its then chief executive Kim Smith - previously known as Kim Dero – in November 2021.
