Westminster City Council has ditched plans to send housingbenefit refugees to Derby and Nottingham.

Westminster City Council has ditched plans to send housing benefit refugees to Derby and Nottingham, after similar proposals by Newham LBC were criticised as a form of ‘social cleansing'.

Westminster sources told The MJ this week the borough was ‘no longer pursuing' proposals to house residents in Derby and Nottingham.
