Middlesbrough Council’s new directly-elected mayor has dropped plans to transfer a new number of services to a proposed joint venture with the Norfolk CC-owned Norse Group.

Middlesbrough Council's new directly-elected mayor has dropped plans to transfer a new number of services to a proposed joint venture with the Norfolk CC-owned Norse Group.

The council's executive gave the green light in January to explore an ‘alternative delivery model' with the Norse Group to handle 18 different services, including school catering, recycling and highways maintenance.
