Council to host hearings if cash cuts close court

North Lincolnshire Council’s leader has offered to host court hearings in its buildings if the Government goes ahead with plans to close Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court.

North Lincolnshire Council's leader has offered to host court hearings in its buildings if the Government goes ahead with plans to close Scunthorpe Magistrates' Court.

HM Courts & Tribunals Service is currently running a consultation on plans to close, merge or relocate around 120 court centres, including one at Scunthorpe.
