The council hosting the new national Windrush monument has decried the lack of Government funding for an annual day celebrating those who came to Britain.

The council hosting the new national Windrush monument has decried the lack of Government funding for an annual day celebrating those who came to Britain.

Last week the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the unveiling of the monument at London's Waterloo Station to celebrate the dreams and courage of the Windrush generation who arrived in the UK after the Second World War.
