A council is today expected to decide to launch a judicial challenge against communities secretary Eric Pickles over the expected rejection of its local plan.

A disappointed Central Bedfordshire Council insider told The MJ launching the review was a ‘no-brainer' with the approach by the Planning Inspectorate considered ‘arguably flawed in law and capable of challenge'.
