North Yorkshire Council's legal action against the Government over a £14m funding cut could cost more than £250,000.

Leader Carl Les told councillors North Yorkshire had been ‘hit the worst of all councils in the country' and he believed the ‘rationality' and equality impact of axing the £100m Rural Services Delivery Grant was ‘worth challenging'.
