Former transport minister Lord Adonis has called for stronger regional partnerships between local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) and councils to help drive economic growth.

Speaking to The MJ, the chair of the North East LEP said his forthcoming North East Economic Review would focus on three themes for the region – skills, devolution and finance for small and medium sized businesses.
