The leader of Thurrock Council has warned he may scrap his authority’s contract with Serco, adding they have ‘pussy-footed around long enough’ with the local government contractor.

Members of the council's cabinet backed a report last week, which warned Serco has repeatedly failed to deliver savings through its partnership with the local authority.
