A council has criticised the Government for being ‘lukewarm’ towards the idea of combined authorities in two-tier shire areas.

A council has criticised the Government for being ‘lukewarm' towards the idea of combined authorities in two-tier shire areas.

In its submission to a government consultation on the latest proposed changes to the rules surrounding combined authorities and economic prosperity boards, seen by The MJ, Wyre Forest DC said it was concerned about the wording in the Government document, which states that such bodies ‘will not be appropriate everywhere'.
